A Closer Look On Momcozy Breast Pumps

By Last Updated: March 14th, 2024Categories: Baby Sitting, Parent and Baby Product

As a mom, I know how helpful breast pumps are, especially to working moms and to moms who produce too much breast milk. But there’s a problem most companies are not aware of. Some breast pumps in the market are not that convenient to use. Yes, it serves its purpose, but it doesn’t really give comfort. I experienced this issue when I gave birth to my daughter and had to assemble a very complicated breast pump. It was so stressful.

Not too long ago, as I was scrolling through Amazon, I discovered Momcozy. It is a brand of amazing breast pumps that look different compared to other brands. I decided to take a closer look at what the hype is all about and discussed every detail on this page.

If you look for breast pumps online, I’m pretty sure you’ll find some identical and complicated-looking products. But Momcozy breast pumps are far from complicated. From what I’ve read on their page, the goal is to;

“Create a product that’s not just designed to give mothers more choice, but to transition the industry towards a new goal.”

Now, you might be wondering what’s so special about a Momcozy breast pump. Well, it works the same with other pumps, the only difference is it’s much easier to use. There are no wires and tubes! The brand specifically calls their pumps “bra breast pumps” because moms can easily insert the pumps into their bras. These wearable pumps allow mothers to be more mobile. They can continue working or do house chores while the breast pump does its job.

Momcozy breast pumps are made for all busy moms who are having a hard time taking care of their babies and doing other things at the same time. If you’re working or a stay-at-home mom, this reliable breast pump is perfect for you. These pumps not only are convenient but provide discretion to the mothers as well. They can slip on the pumps under their bras and continue working with clothes on.

A Momcozy breast pump looks like a bowl that you can attach to your breast, this part is the pump and the milk collection area. Each milk container can collect up to 4 to 6 ounces depending on the model. On top of the pump are the motor and the control section, there you can set the suction strength. The pump automatically turns off when the container is full.

Momcozy Breast Pumps Features

You can buy a pair or just one breast pump. Aside from wearable breast pumps, Momcozy also sells other breastfeeding essentials like nursing pads, breastmilk containers, breast massagers, and more.

Why Mothers like Momcozy Breast Pumps

Here are some reasons why a lot of moms use Momcozy breast pumps.

1. Comfort and Convenience

Using chunky breast pumps is so inconvenient. You have to set up the tubes then attach the chunky pumps to your breast, and you still need to plug it in. And honestly, that’s a lot. Not all mothers have spare time to deal with that. But with Momcozy, all you need to do is attach the pumps and turn them on.

Pumping While Doing Chores

You can easily lie down while waiting for the container to get full or do some chores. It saves you time and you can basically skip all those hassle preparations.

This breast pump has multiple suction modes. It’s great for new moms or for first-timers on breast pumps. The suction levels start slow and if you’re starting to get the hang of it, you can move you’re way up. Plus, these pumps can last up to 5 to 8 sessions (depending on the model), if you only pump once or twice a day, charging frequently will not be needed.

2. Affordable with Great Quality

I checked the prices of wearable breast pumps online, and I can say that Momcozy is a lot cheaper compared to some brands. A Momcozy breast pump starts at $131 per pair, we found Ainsir, another brand with the same features, their wearable pumps are priced at $318.99 per pair. Well, there are some that are cheaper than Momcozy, but if you take a closer look at the function and features, I can say that Momcozy is a better buy.

3. Better Suction

I once tried a breast pump that is so uncomfortable to wear and when I turn it on, it kind of hurts, and it doesn’t even get a lot of milk, in short, it’s inefficient. And that’s the problem with most pumps these days.

Better Suction

One of the things I like about Momcozy is the suction. First, it’s not loud, it doesn’t have that annoying buzzing sound, and most of their breast pumps have a sound lower than 50 dB. Second, the suction is better and it doesn’t hurt. It collects milk faster because you can nug tighter and closer to your breasts, this also prevents leakage.

As I was doing my research, I noticed that Momcozy has a lot more suction options compared to more expensive brands, for example, the M1 ($131.99) model has 9 Suction Levels and 3 Modes which is the same as Ainsir ($318.99).

4. Discretion

One of the many things I like about this pump is the discretion it provides for the mother. I personally know the struggle of using tubed breast pumps. When I’m outside and I needed to pump, I have to find a place to set it up, not to mention I have to be careful and cover myself while doing it. It’s such a hassle. But with Momcozy, I felt at ease.

Because the pumps can easily be inserted into their bras, people will barely know that they wearing one. Moms can work comfortably at their desks, shop, and even drive without worries. According to a survey conducted by Yummy Mummy, they concluded that moms who use wireless breast pumps have a more positive pumping experience, and personally I can agree with that.

Are Momcozy Breast Pumps Worth it?

I listed and mention all the good things about Momcozy breast pumps and I personally had some good notes about this product. But I have a few setbacks about it and I listed them here to help your thoughts.

  1. Momcozy breast pumps only have a 7-day warranty. I have tried a few brands of breast pumps and most of them offer 1 to 2 years of warranty service. Product defects usually show around the first or fourth day of usage. If you only have a 7-day warranty, I think that’s not enough time to get a replacement, considering that most moms are busy during the day and tired and still busy during the night. Not everyone has the time to contact customer service and answer questions about the product.
  2. It has no app. Some brands of breast pumps have apps to help moms easily track their pumping, adjust the modes, know the battery percentage of pumps, and more. This feature is more convenient instead of checking the pumps under your clothes. And I think it is something that Momcozy has to think about. If they aim for convenience, they should be innovating their pumps. Perhaps they can start with an app.
  3. It leaks. Although I really like these pumps, I have to be honest, I did see some leaks. This might be caused by the shape of the pumps. I noticed the leaks when it was full and when I try to remove the suction from my breast. I also had some problems when transferring the milk to another container. When I try to pour it, the liquid tends to go sideways, so I need to adjust my hand while pouring it.
  4. It’s hard to position the nipples. At first, I was struggling with how to put it in the right position, especially since I can’t see where the nipple has to go, so I just need to feel it. Plus, I also needed bigger bras when I use these pumps, I’m a bit worried that they might fall off.

Other moms had a different experience when they used these pumps. Some may agree with my thoughts and some won’t. And that’s totally okay, we all have different preferences after all. Now if you ask me, if Momcozy breast pumps are worth it, I will say yes. The setbacks I experienced were either bearable (the product still works the same even if they don’t have it) or resolved as I continued to use the product. But I think, Momcozy still has a long way to go and they can still develop their products to help moms more.

Conclusion

Breast pumps are a mom’s best friend period if you renew mom and are trying to figure things out don’t settle for less. choose the ones that are high quality, comfortable, and easy to use. Remember, your time is valuable and you are as precious as your baby too. If you’re looking for breast pumps, check out Momcozy, and don’t forget to recommend them to your friends. Happy pumping!

FAQs

Although there is no scientific way of figuring out if your boobs are out of milk, you can still try the traditional way. Try to feel your breast, if it’s soft and light, meaning there is no liquid stored inside. If it’s tender and hard, then its time for you to pump.

Experts say that if you pump each breast for 15 minutes every two hours for 48-72 hours, your breastmilk supply will increase. This is because every time milk is extracted, your breast is alerted to produce more.
